Add Premium Customization to Your Directory

With Instant Church Directory Premium, you can further customize your directory's branding, colors, and terminology. Premium customizations include:

Custom logo upload
Custom brand color
Additional label customization for Staff, Activities, Groups, Church, and Pastor
Unlimited editors (Basic accounts include 3 free editors)

These customizations can only be made by the Account Owner. Editors cannot access these settings, even on Premium accounts.

Navigate to Customization Settings

To make changes to your directory's branding and labels, go to Customization in the left-hand menu of your Admin account. On the Customization page, you'll see a left-hand menu with Branding, Labels, Alerts, PDF Setup, and PDF Pages sections.

If you downgrade your plan away from Premium, any Premium-only customizations you've made will revert back to the default settings immediately.

Customize Family Labels

Under Customization → Labels, you can update your Family Label (singular and plural). This is available to all Instant Church Directory accounts, not just Premium.

Update Your Logo

Under Customization → Branding, upload your logo using the drag-and-drop feature or by clicking Browse for file. Once uploaded, your logo preview will appear to the right.

Your custom logo replaces the default Instant Church Directory logo on your directory's Members Website and the mobile apps.

IMPORTANT: Your logo will be placed on a white background, so make sure your logo isn't white or it won't be visible.

Change Your Brand Color

Under Customization → Branding, use the color picker to update your brand color. This color is used on the cover page header, apps, and section headings — be sure to choose a color that keeps menu text and buttons easy to read.

NOTE: If you update your brand color without uploading a custom logo, the default Instant Church Directory logo will change to reflect your new color. If you've uploaded your own logo, the color picker will not affect it.

Change Church Label

Under Customization → Labels, find Church Label. Replace "Church" with the word you'd like to use instead. This wording appears only to administrators, in places such as "your online church directory" on your dashboard.

Examples: Residence, Charity, Society, Organization, Business

Change Additional Labels

There are several additional label fields you can edit under a Premium Membership, found under Customization → Labels.

Change Staff Label

Staff Label Singular — replace "Staff" with your preferred singular term.
Staff Label Plural — replace "Staff" with your preferred plural term.

All instances of Staff (singular and plural) throughout your directory, apps, and PDF will update to your chosen wording.

Examples: Staff / Staff Members, Teacher / Teachers, Director / Directors

Change Pastor Label

Replace "Pastor" with your preferred term.

Examples: President, Chairman, Executive Director

NOTE: This label is only seen on the Admin website and does not show to members.

Change Activity Label

Activity Label Singular — replace "Activity" with your preferred singular term.
Activity Label Plural — replace "Activities" with your preferred plural term.

Examples: Event / Events, Campaign / Campaigns, Fundraiser / Fundraisers, Club / Clubs

Change Group Label

Group Label Singular — replace "Group" with your preferred singular term.
Group Label Plural — replace "Groups" with your preferred plural term.

Examples: Committee / Committees, Class / Classes, Support Group / Support Groups

Add or Remove Directory Editors

With Premium, you can have unlimited editors on your account (Basic accounts include up to 3 free editors). For detailed instructions on adding and removing editors, please reference this help document: Add or Remove Editors.
