Deleted Families
If you accidentally delete a family from the Families page, don’t worry — deleted families can be restored for up to 7 days after deletion.
How deleting a family works
When you delete a family on the Families page, the family is not removed permanently right away. Instead, it is moved to Deleted Families for 7 days.
During that 7-day period:
- The family will no longer appear in your active family list.
- A Deleted Families button will appear on the Families page.
- You can open Deleted Families and view recently deleted families.
- Only Account Owners/Admins can restore a deleted family. Editors can view this area, but they cannot restore deleted families.
After 7 days, the deleted family is permanently removed and can no longer be restored.
How to restore a deleted family
- Go to the Families page.
- Click the Deleted Families button.
- Find the family you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
Once restored, the family will appear in your active family list again.
Who can restore deleted families?
Restoring deleted families is limited to Account Owners/Admins.
If you are an Editor, you may still be able to see the Deleted Families area, but you will not be able to restore deleted items. If a family needs to be restored, please contact your account owner or admin for help.
