Exporting Your Member's Data

To export your family list for records or mailing labels, go to Families and scroll aaaallllllllll the way to the bottom of the page. There you will find a link that says: To Export your family list for mailing labels, click here

Then click on Export Families.

This will export your Family data as a comma-separated file (csv) for use in other programs, such as Microsoft Excel.  Images will NOT be included.

Note: You can not export data from groups, you can only export data from the complete family list.

The CSV file columns will be arranged in this order:

Last Name, Adult First Name(s), Child Name(s), Address, City, State, ZIP, Phone Number(s), Email(s), Anniversary Date, Additional Details, Notes

Phone numbers and email addresses for individuals will be included in the Phone Number(s) and Email(s) fields.

At this time, there is not a way to just export certain fields (such as just exporting emails).  However, we find that if you open the export in Microsoft Excel, you can easily delete out any columns of information you do not wish to have by selecting the column you do not want, right-click and select Delete.

You can use this exported CSV file in other applications that can read a CSV file (not just Microsoft Excel), such as use it to create envelopes or mailing labels using Microsoft Word Mail Merge.

(Please see your specific program's Help menu for information about creating mailing labels or using CSV files.)

Our program doesn’t have the capability to directly export as an API, HTML or XML pages. However, the PDF file can be exported as HTML or XML by using Adobe Acrobat 8.0. That program can export a PDF as HTML 3.2, HTML 4.01 with CSS 1.0 or XML 1.0.

Adobe Acrobat 8.0 may be a bit pricey for some churches ($159-$449). More information about Adobe Acrobat 8.0 is available at www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/
