Logging into the Member App
Welcome! This guide shows you how to sign in to the Instant Church Directory member app. No username, no password—just a one-time sign-in link sent to your email.
Before You Start
Make sure:
- Your email address is listed correctly in your church’s directory.
- Your church has an active subscription and the directory is published.
Not sure? Ask your Directory Administrator to confirm for you.
Step-by-Step: Sign In Using the App
1. Download the Instant Church Directory App
- For iPhone/iPad: Download on the App Store
- For Android devices: Get it on Google Play

2. Open the App
- Enter your email address exactly as listed in your church’s directory.
- Tap Continue.
3. Check Your Email
- Look for a message from no-reply@instantchurchdirectory.com.
- You now have two options:
Option 1: Tap the Link
- Tap the sign-in link in the email.
- The app will automatically open and sign you in.
OR
Option 2: Enter the Code Manually
- Still in the app, you’ll see a place to enter a 6-digit code.
Copy the code from your email and paste it into the app.
Don’t see the email? Be sure to check your Spam or Junk folder.
4. You’re In!
Once you tap the link or enter the code from the email, you’ll be signed in and can view your church’s directory.
Two-Factor Authentication
(If your directory has this feature enabled)
Here’s how it works:
Get the verification code.
After entering your email and password to Sign In, you'll see a message indicating that a security code was sent to your email.
Check your email for the code.
The email will arrive within a few minutes and expires after 15 minutes.
NOTE: If you use Gmail, the email may appear in the Promotions, Spam or Trash folders instead of your primary inbox. Be sure to check each one.
Enter the code.
Return to the app, input the code, and tap “Verify” to complete the sign-in process.
Once your device is verified, you won’t need to complete this step again for future sign-ins on the same device.
Need to Sign In Again?
- Open the app and enter your email again.
- You’ll be sent a new email with sign-in link and code—just repeat the steps above.
Troubleshooting
Didn’t get the email?
- Check your Spam or Junk folder.
- Make sure your email is spelled correctly.
- Ask your Directory Administrator to confirm your email is listed correctly under an active family.
Link expired?
- The link expires after 24 hours. Open the app and request a new one.
Still having trouble?
- The directory may not be published yet.
- Your church’s subscription might be inactive.
- Your email might not be in the directory yet.
Ask your Directory Administrator to help resolve any of these issues.
