How to Use Grid View on the Families Page
On the Families page, you can switch between Cards and Grid View (currently in Preview). Grid View is a newer table-style layout that lets you make quick updates directly from the family list.
How to switch to Grid View
On desktop, go to the Families page and use the view toggle near the top of the page:
- Cards
- Grid (Preview)
Your last selected view is remembered, so the Families page will usually open in the same view the next time you visit.

Note: Grid View is only available on larger screens. On smaller devices, the Families page stays in Cards view.
What you can do in Grid View
Grid View shows families in a table layout. Each family appears on its own row, and each person in that family appears in rows underneath.
You can edit these family details directly in the grid:
- Last name
- Address
- Address 2
- City
- State
- Zip
- Phone
- Status
You can edit these person details directly in the grid:
- First name
- Mobile phone
- Birthday
How saving works
Changes in Grid View save one row at a time.
After you update a field, use either of these options to save that row:
- Click the row’s Save button
- Press Enter while you're in a text field
Family rows and person rows save separately, so you can update just the record you’re working on.
If there’s a problem saving, an error message will appear below that row.
Adding a new family
Above the grid, click Add Family row to insert a new blank family row at the top of the table.
- Click Add Family row
- Enter the family details
- Click Add on that row
Once saved, it becomes a normal family row in the grid.
Adding a person to a family
Each saved family row includes buttons for:
- + Adult
- + Child
To add a person:
- Find the family row
- Click + Adult or + Child
- Enter the person’s details
- Click Add

If the family is brand new, you’ll need to save the family row first before adding people.
Searching and alphabet navigation
Grid View still supports the main search bar and alphabet navigation on the Families page, so you can quickly narrow the list and jump to a letter section.
What still needs to be edited in Cards view
Some details are not editable in Grid View yet. For those, switch back to Cards and use the full family edit screen.
This includes:
- Photos
- Groups
- Anniversary
- Notes
- Additional details
